Stunning Stencils
Hi everyone! And welcome back to Craftin Desert Divas CREATIVE CHALLENGE!
Todays topic is STUNNING STENCILS and I want to share with you my new card.
Doesn't it sparkle like wateron the sun? Let's see how I got that look!
To start with I pre-cut the watercol paper and taped stencil on top for the distress ink coloring.
The colors I used were: mowed lawn, broken china, antique linen, carved pumpkin.
After the distress ink coloring I took stencil off and sprayed water on top as I wanted this to be a underwater scene background. And it all really helped the piece to look like sparkle water.
Then I did the die cutting. And I did a lo-o-t! Lol
I really wanted the background piece look very dimencional.
I also die cut the smallest inside part.
And then I attached the whole thing together using foam tape on some parts.
I stamped the sentiment to the made-up piece using VERSAFINE ink. And then attached the whole thing to the card base.
For this card I picked the smallest images from the set and stamped them with MEMENTO ink.
When I thought of coloring them, I decided to leave them black and white so I used some grey and blue shades of color pencils for that.
The last minute decision was to stamp bubbles and added sequins... and I love that I did that.
