CDD August Release Blog Hop

Now, I've been designing cards using 2 new stamp sets - GRATEFUL TROLLS and LEAFY BACKGROUND. Both are special to me as I lettered words in 1st one and did the whole illustration of the background one ^_^
Here's the first card and it showcases the GRATEFUL TROLLS stamp set. I think it it so absolutely adorable and so interesting to make Fall scenes with.
I used watercolor paper (pre-cut, using CDD die) and applied distress inks on top (starting from dark shades at the bottom up to light at the top), after that I sprinkled the water. I also cut out white piece of card stock to make the card multi-layered. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine black ink.
For coloring I picked pencils and used orange-blues. Took a bit more time on shades. When finished - put the parts together with the help of foam tape. Added glossy accents' dots for the final touches and it was done. What do you think? Aren't those cute? ^_^
My second card showcases new LEAFY BACKGROUND stamp. Now, this one is fully illustrated by me and I am so very proud of it as it turned out amazing! (I am such a shy person,lol).
With this card it took me a bit more time cuz I did heat embossing technique and used Arteza Real Brush Pens for coloring. Must say, this stamp is so versatile and there are so many ways and techniques you can use it for.
