CDD Release Day 4

Hello crafty people!

I am here today to share the very special to me new stamp set as I illustrated it for Craftin Desert Divas. It all started with cute little flower & turned into YOU set.

And here’s my 1-layer card to showcase the new set. I love simple white cards with lots of coloring as they pop out the stamp images.

And now to making! I started with cutting card base and background piece using my cutting tool. I folded into two the card base and put it aside for now. Moved on to background making (which is the basic layer).

I stamped the main image on to the background piece and went straight to coloring.

I am using my color pencils most of the time and I am going from light to dark shades (more on the coloring tips next time we see, lol).

I picked two shades for main colors, but at the end I decided the image needs extra something and I picked the yellow!

It totally changed the whole view and I love that I decided to add it.

When I was done with coloring I simple attached the background piece to the card base using foam tape to make it dimensional.

For the sentiment I’ve picked hand lettered “you” and print-style “are amazing” (cut the second one into two pieces). With the help of foam tape and T-ruler I attached stamped sentiments in to the background part.

For the final touches I added white gel pen to the sentiment and glossy accents to the main image. And the card was done!

Woot-woot! I love it and wish you do too ^_^
