Adding Dimensional Details
Hello divas, it's Anna today with a sweet winter card and lots of snow!
Ok! Heading fast to making, lol.
I started with background, for which I took white watercolor paper and applied Distress inks (chipped saphire and salty ocean).
At the bottom of the background I wanted to have snow laying look. So I took the frame die and put it through the machine and then cut one line apart - turned frame into border.
And with the help of foam tape attached it to the background. And background - to the card base.
For this winter card I picked cute critters and stamped them onto white card stock using black ink.
Then it was the coloring time. I work with color pencils, and when I color I go from light colors to dark with the help of dry blending (no water needed).
But first I always pick up the colors I want to use with the help of handmade chart.
This time I went with grey and purple shades. So winterish, aren't they?
When the coloring was done I simply cut out images and placed foam tape at the back.
Then I started putting the card together. But before attaching I figured out where I want my images to be placed by simply moving them along the background.
After... just took the tape of and glued all the parts into the scene. I also used my white gel pen to make stitching kinda frame all around the background.
Now... you say "where's snow?", lol.
For the "snow" I used white drops, placing them all over the card background in different sizes to make snow like more dementional and alive.
And here we are! Sweetest winter snow scene with adorable critters.
Hope you've got inspired and I'd love to see you making white drops snow scenes on your cards!
